Who can buy from French Soap Wholesale?
French Soap Wholesale is for trade and professional customers buying products for resale.
You can apply for a trade account through our website. Once approved, you’ll be able to log in and view trade pricing.
What is the minimum order?
Our minimum order value is €175, excluding delivery charges.
We’ve deliberately kept the minimum relatively accessible so independent retailers can start with a manageable range and see what works best for their customers.
Do I need a trade account to see prices?
Yes. Our wholesale prices are available to approved trade customers after login.
If you don’t yet have an account, simply complete our Trade Account Application and we’ll review it as quickly as possible.
How many fragrances are available?
We offer more than 120 fragrances, from traditional favourites such as Lavender and Honey to more unusual scents.
You certainly don’t need to stock all of them. If you’d like some help choosing a balanced opening range, just ask — we’re happy to recommend proven sellers.
Where are the soaps made?
Our French soaps are made by a small family producer in Marseille.
We don’t manufacture the soaps ourselves; our role is to make this extensive French range available to retailers internationally and help you build a selection that works for your shop.
Are the soaps triple-milled?
Yes. Our traditional 125g French savonnettes are triple-milled, giving them their smooth finish, firm texture and long-lasting quality.
Are the soaps natural?
The exact formulation varies by product.
Many of our traditional soaps are made with a very high proportion of naturally derived ingredients, while some ranges, including traditional Savon de Marseille products, may be 100% natural.
Please refer to the individual product information for the exact formulation of each soap.
Why do some soaps have small marks?
Our traditional French soaps are supplied naked, without individual packaging. Because they are packed and transported together, an occasional soap may have a small surface mark, rub or light scratch.
These marks are purely cosmetic, normally disappear with first use, and do not affect the quality or performance of the soap. They are part of the character of an authentic French market-style product.
Minor cosmetic marks are therefore not considered product damage. If a soap arrives genuinely broken, badly chipped or otherwise unsuitable for sale, please contact us.
What quantities do I have to buy?
Products are supplied in full wholesale boxes, with the available box sizes shown on each product page.
Each box contains one fragrance only. You can, however, choose different fragrances across your overall order, subject to the €175 minimum order value.
How do I pay?
All orders must be paid in full before dispatch.
You can pay using the payment methods available at checkout, including card payment and bank transfer where offered.
For bank transfers, the order will be dispatched once cleared funds have been received.
How quickly will my order be sent?
We normally aim to dispatch orders within 3–6 working days.
Most wholesale orders are carefully prepared and dispatched from Marseille by the same family business that makes our soaps. Smaller shipments—including sample packs, display boxes and replacement items—may instead be sent directly from our premises in Lussac-les-Châteaux.
Whichever route your parcel takes, French Soap Wholesale manages your order and remains your point of contact throughout.
If there is likely to be any delay, we’ll contact you.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship throughout Europe, to the UK and to customers worldwide.
Shipping charges depend on the destination and weight of your order.
For more information, please see our Delivery Information page.
What happens with VAT on UK orders?
For UK deliveries, UK import VAT is normally collected by the courier.
Import VAT is simply the UK VAT due on the goods when they enter the country — it is not an additional special tax.
The courier may also charge a small administration or clearance fee, typically around £10–£15.
What about taxes outside the EU?
For destinations outside the European Union, customers are responsible for checking whether local import taxes, duties or other charges apply in their country.
Can I arrange my own courier?
Yes.
If you prefer to use your own courier or collection service, contact us at:
orders@frenchsoapwholesale.com
and we’ll help organise the collection.
What happens if something arrives damaged?
Please check your order when it arrives and contact us as soon as possible if anything is damaged, missing or incorrect.

returns@frenchsoapwholesale.com
Photographs are helpful where goods have been damaged in transit.
Can you help me choose what to stock?
Absolutely.
One of the advantages of working with us is that we’re happy to help retailers choose fragrances, think about pricing and build displays that make the range work in their shop.
